Consumer terms for n17 me (me.nordic17.com)

These terms apply when you, as a private person, use the service at me.nordic17.com. Please read them together with our privacy policy, the information on the right of withdrawal and the Letter of Authorisation explainer.

1. Who we are

The service is provided by:

  • Nordic17
  • Email: hello@nordic17.com

In these terms "we" and "us" mean nordic17, and "you" means the person who creates the account.

2. Who can use the service

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • The service is for private persons acting outside their trade or profession. Companies use n17 team or n17 vip under a separate agreement.
  • You live in, or want removals for, Denmark, Sweden, Norway or Iceland.
  • You may only ask us to act for yourself. You must not sign up for another person, and you must not add an email address that is not yours.

3. What the service does

n17 me asks data brokers, people-search sites and public directories to delete your personal data. In detail:

  1. Your Letter of Authorisation. After payment you give us your full name and country and sign a Letter of Authorisation (LOA). The LOA lets us act as your agent towards data brokers. See the LOA explainer.
  2. Removal requests. We send erasure requests under the GDPR (Article 17, and objection under Article 21) to the data brokers we know of and can contact, worldwide, by email or web form. The requests contain your name, the email addresses you have confirmed with us, and your signed LOA.
  3. Follow-up. We follow up requests that are not answered within the broker's legal deadline (usually one month), and, while your subscription runs, we check again later and send new requests where needed.
  4. Do it yourself. Some sites cannot be handled by us, for example because they demand an identity document or only accept a request from you personally. For those we give you step-by-step guides, and you send the request yourself.
  5. Overview. Your account shows how many requests are pending, sent, overdue, completed or refused. By default we also send you a monthly summary by email (you can turn it off).
  6. More addresses. You can add up to two further email addresses for your removal requests. Each is included only after you confirm it through a link we send to it.

What the service does not do

  • We cannot guarantee a removal. Each data broker decides on its own reply, and some refuse or are not legally required to delete. We report what each broker answered.
  • We do not remove data from search engines, social networks, news sites, official public registers (for example the CPR, the Central Business Register or land registers) or sites that are not data brokers.
  • We do not ask for or handle identity documents, ID numbers or passwords, and we never send them to data brokers.
  • We do not stop new data from being collected about you; while your subscription runs we check again and send new requests.
  • We do not give legal advice and do not represent you in court or before an authority. If a broker refuses, we tell you, and you can complain to the data protection authority yourself.
  • Data brokers outside the EU/EEA that are not covered by an adequacy decision, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses are contacted only if you allow it on the LOA.

4. Plans and prices

PlanWhat you getPayment
One-timeOne removal round: we send the removal requests and follow them up for 90 days. No renewal and no rechecks afterwardsOne payment
MonthlyRemoval requests, follow-ups and rechecks for as long as the subscription runsEvery month, renews automatically
YearlyAs monthlyEvery year, renews automatically
  • The prices are shown in your currency before you pay: DKK in Denmark, SEK in Sweden, NOK in Norway and EUR in Iceland. The currency stays the same for the life of your subscription.
  • All prices include 25% Danish VAT (moms). There are no other fees.
  • Discounts. A discount code or a friend's referral can lower the first payment, several payments or every payment, as the code states. A code applies only if it is valid when you check out. Referral rewards follow the rules shown on the referral page.
  • Price changes. We may change the price of a monthly or yearly subscription with at least 30 days' notice by email before the next payment at the new price. You can cancel before then.

5. How the contract is made and paid for

  1. You create an account with your email address and confirm it through a link.
  2. You choose a plan, accept these terms and the privacy policy, and ask us to start at once within the withdrawal period (see section 7).
  3. You pay on the hosted payment page of our payment provider, Mollie B.V. (Amsterdam, the Netherlands). We never see your card or bank details, and we do not send Mollie your name, email or address.
  4. The contract is made when your first payment is confirmed. We email you a receipt.
  5. For a monthly or yearly plan, your first payment also sets up the payment method for later payments. The next payment is taken one period after the first one, and then every period.

Receipts. For each payment we issue a receipt (a simplified invoice under the Danish VAT rules). It shows the date, plan, amount and VAT, but no personal data. You find it on your subscription page, and we email it to your login email, or to a separate billing email if you set one.

Failed payments. If a renewal fails, we tell you by email and your removals pause until the payment succeeds. Mollie tries again up to five times. If all attempts fail, the subscription ends; you can subscribe again at any time. You can change your payment method in your account.

Chargebacks. If you reverse a payment through your bank, your removals pause as for a failed payment.

6. Duration, cancellation and ending

  • One-time plan: ends by itself after the 90-day removal round.
  • Monthly and yearly plans: run until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your account, under Subscription. No further payments are taken, and your removals continue until the end of the period you have already paid for. We confirm the cancellation and the end date by email. There is no refund for the rest of a period you have paid for, except under the right of withdrawal (section 7).
  • When the subscription ends, we send no new requests, follow-ups or rechecks. Requests already sent stay with the broker, which still has to answer them.
  • Ending by us. We may end your subscription with 30 days' notice, or at once if you materially breach these terms (for example by signing up for another person). If we end it without your breach, we refund the part of the period not yet used.

7. Right of withdrawal (14 days)

You have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The period runs from the day the contract is made, which is the day your first payment is confirmed.

  • How: in your account, under Subscription → "Withdraw and get a refund". It is fully automatic: the refund is started at once, no further payments are taken, and your removals stop. You do not need to send us anything, and nobody has to process it by hand.
  • A full refund. We start the service at once, at your request. If you withdraw, you still get the full first payment back, to the payment method you used, without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days.
  • You may also tell us by any other clear statement, for example by email or with the model withdrawal form; the law requires us to accept that too. The button is the quickest way.
  • Requests already sent to data brokers before you withdraw cannot be called back.
  • The full information and the model form are in the withdrawal information.

8. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time under Account Settings. We send a confirmation link to your email first. When you confirm:

  1. your subscription is cancelled at Mollie, and no further payments are taken;
  2. your profile, removal requests and all related data are deleted from our internal systems;
  3. your account in this app is deleted.

Deleting the account ends the contract at once. There is no refund for the rest of a paid period, except where you also withdraw within the 14-day period (do that first).

Data brokers may still reply to requests we sent before the deletion. Such replies can no longer be matched to you, and they are deleted automatically within 90 days.

Some records are kept after deletion, as the privacy policy explains: the signed LOA as evidence for 180 days, receipts for bookkeeping (they hold no personal data), and Mollie's own payment records.

Inactive accounts. If you have not logged in for 12 months and have no running subscription, we delete your account in the same way. We email you 30 days before; logging in once is enough to keep it.

Revoking only the letter. You can also revoke your Letter of Authorisation under Account Settings without deleting the account. We then send no new requests and no follow-ups until you sign again. Your subscription keeps running and is still charged; cancel it separately if you want to stop paying.

9. Your obligations

  • Give true and complete information, in particular your full name as it appears in data brokers' records.
  • Add only email addresses that belong to you.
  • Keep access to your email account safe: anyone who can open your email can sign in to your account.
  • Tell us if your name changes or if a broker contacts you about one of our requests in a way you did not expect.

10. Our liability

  • We perform the service with the care that can be expected of a professional provider.
  • We are not liable for what data brokers do or do not do, including refusals, delays or data they collect again.
  • We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit, unless we acted with intent or gross negligence.
  • Nothing in these terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer law, including the rules on defects (mangler) in the Danish Consumer Contracts Act and the Danish Sale of Goods Act as they apply to services.

Complaints about the service. Write to hello@nordic17.com. We answer as soon as we can.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for a valid reason, such as a change in the law or in the service. We tell you by email at least 30 days before a change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before it takes effect. Each subscription records which version of the terms was accepted.

12. Governing law and disputes

  • These terms are governed by Danish law. If you live in Sweden, Norway or Iceland, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your country.
  • If we cannot agree, you can complain to the Danish Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrugerklagenævnet) through Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, www.naevneneshus.dk, or to the consumer body in your own country. Cross-border complaints can also go through the European Consumer Centre (Forbrugereuropa) in your country.
  • You can always take the case to the courts that are competent under the law.

13. Family plans

  • A family plan covers you and up to 5 more people. You are the contracting party: you pay, and you add and remove members on the Family page.
  • Adults get an invitation by email, log in with that address and sign their own Letter of Authorisation.
  • Children need their own email address, confirmed through a link. You sign their letter as their legal guardian; you confirm that you are.
  • You see how far each member's removals are (counts only), never which sites.
  • You can switch between a single and a family plan; the switch takes effect with the next renewal, and a running discount carries over.
  • When the family plan ends, or you switch to a single plan, all members are taken off the plan: adults keep their own login but are no longer covered, and children's data is deleted.

14. Language

These terms are written in English. Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Icelandic versions will follow.
